When it becomes sufficiently smooth either apply directly over rash and let it dry out or spread it over a clean piece of cloth and tie it over rash. Let the clay stay for one hour and later wash off or peel off. Repeat again if rash stays.

You can wash the rash with apple cider vinegar to calm the itching and burning and heal it quickly. Dab a cotton ball in undiluted apple cider vinegar and rub the cotton ball over rash. Let the vinegar dry out and stay for at least 30 minutes. Here is another way of using Bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar, just mix bentonite clay in apple cider vinegar instead of water and apply to the rash. Both ways apple cider vinegar work as the best methods.

Holy basil leaves and peppermint leaves both work as excellent home remedies for skin rashes. If rash is due to insect bite or infection, rub fresh peppermint leaves over rash and let the juice stay. Similarly you can try holy basil leaves in place of peppermint leaves to treat rashes effectively. Repeat remedy few times till symptoms subside.


Scrape out fresh aloe vera gel and apply over rash and let it stay for 1 to 2 hours. Repeat again if rash stays and symptoms continue, aloe vera gel is great aid to treat rashes due to insect bite, injuries, Sun or heat and also prevent formation of marks after healing. Clean the old aloe vera gel with a damp cloth before applying another time. On regular use these applications work as potent home remedies for skin rashes.

If you have rashes generalized all over the body, add two cups of baking soda in a bathtub full of warm water, stir the mixture to let soda dissolve and soak yourself in for 20 to 30 minutes in the tub. Wash the rashes during bath and take a warm water shower later. Pat the skin dry later. Baking soda works as one of the best home remedies for skin rashes. For localized rashes add one part of water with 3 parts of baking soda and apply the paste, let the paste stay over rashes for half an hour and wash off later, repeat till rash subsides.

Another one of the effective home remedies for skin rashes occurring all over the body is provided by oatmeal powder. Method is same as above just mix two cups of oatmeal powder to a bathtub of warm water and take a relaxing bath. Rinse rashes thoroughly with the mixture and take a warm water shower later.


Olive oil provides one of the simplest remedies for skin rashes. Just dab a cotton ball in olive oil and apply over rashes, rub the oil all over the rash and let it stay for an hour and wipe it off with damp cloth later, repeat few times to cure the problem.

Rubbing banana peel over rash also cures it in a short time and relieves burning and itching. Peel off a banana and rub the rash with inside part of the peel few times in a day. This is one of the best home remedies for skin rashes.

Crush two garlic cloves and add half teaspoon of common salt and black pepper to these, crush 10 holy basil leaves and add to the mixture and grind entire mixture. Add few drops of olive oil to give it a smooth consistency. Apply this paste over rash and let it stay for an hour, repeat again after 3 to 4 hours it will heal the rash in a short time.

Applications of petroleum jelly and lemon juice directly over rashes have also been found as potent home remedies for skin rashes. Repeat their application few times in a day and if you are using lemon juice let it dry out each time.
