Ingredients of Pizza Twists with a Twist
1 roll of pizza dough (refrigerated or homemade)
Half cup pepperoni (Each cut into two)
1 cup pineapple (diced)
1 cup jalapenos (sliced)
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Half cup parmesan cheese
Half cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Heat little oil in a pan, fry the garlic until it is cooked and then add jalapenos to this. Toss Italian seasoning and fry for a minute.
Take it off the heat, process the jalapenos and garlic in a blender and add a little water to get a sauce-like consistency. Keep it aside.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Roll the dough flat and cut rectangular pieces which are 3 inches wide and 5 inches long.
Apply the jalapeno sauce on the rectangular pieces. Place the pepperonis and pineapples on it.
Spread both parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Season with Italian seasonings.
Place another piece of rectangular dough on top of the filling. Press gently to compact the filling.
Twist the pieces carefully and gently pinch the ends to seal. Place on a cookie baking sheet or butter paper sprayed with olive oil.
Cook for 15 minutes until they are golden brown.
Sprinkle sea salt and serve hot with pizza sauce.
