Cellulites are caused due to fat deposition in middle and lower layers of skin which protrudes through the gaps of connective tissues and pushes upper layer of skin epidermis to give skin an orange peel like look and texture. Cellulites are not harmful to health but are aesthetically unpleasing. These mostly affect fatty areas of the body like buttocks, thighs, stomach arms etc., though cellulites can affect men and women both but these are three times more common in women compared to men. Exact causes of the problem are not known but hormonal fluctuations, lack of estrogen, genetic factors, sudden weight gain, pregnancy etc., are believed to be triggers of the problem. Cayenne pepper provides one of the best home remedies for cellulite. Mix two teaspoons of cayenne pepper with one teaspoon each of grated ginger and lemon juice. Add this mixture to a glass of warm water and stir for 2 to 3 minutes, drink and repeat two three times during the day. Cayenne pepper is excellent anti-inflammatory which also promotes blood circulation to diffuse fat deposition beneath skin. Perform this remedy regularly to gain considerable improvement in short time.

Coffee grounds provide couple of useful home remedies for cellulite. Take one-fourth cup of coffee grounds and three tablespoons of sugar; add these to two tablespoon of coconut oil to form a paste. Store the paste in a glass bottle and take a bit on your finger and massage the affected part with pressure two three times in a day. Later wash off with warm water. Another remedy provided by coffee grounds can be made by mixing half cup of coarsely ground coffee with some olive oil, heat the mixture in an oven for 20 minutes and stir to form a smooth paste.

Apply this paste over affected part when it is bearably warm and wrap it with a plastic sheet to lock the heat inside. Wash off after 20 minutes with warm water and repeat the remedy three times in a day regularly. Both of these are excellent home remedies for cellulite.

Apple cider vinegar provides few home remedies for cellulite. Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of warm water and drink, repeat two three cups in a day to reduce appearance of cellulite. Alternatively mix one part of apple cider vinegar with two parts of water and add some honey, rub this mixture over affected part and let it stay for 30 minutes, later wash off with warm water and repeat this remedy two-three times in a day regularly. Or you can mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar and warm water and rub the affected part, cover the parts with a plastic sheet and let it stay for an hour. Repeat two-three times in a day to reduce cellulite. All of these are the best home remedies for cellulite.


Take half inch long 4 pieces of ginger, 8 lemon leaves, 6 mint leaves and 8 peppermint leaves and add these to 3.5 liters of water. Add one cup of apple cider vinegar and half cup of coffee and keep the mixture to boil. Let the mixture boil for 20 minutes and later allow it to cool down. When mixture is bearably warm, soak a towel in the mixture and wring to flush excess water out and wrap the cloth around affected part, cover the towel with a plastic sheet to lock the heat inside, stay for 20 minutes and apply again. Repeat till mixture remains warm. This is one of the popular home remedies for cellulite.

Mix almond, rosemary and fennel oil in equal parts, massage the affected part regularly before taking a shower. Wait after massage for 15 minutes before you take a shower. On regular use this is one of the simplest home remedies for cellulite.


Mix one and a half cup each of green clay and seaweed; add three tablespoons of hot water, one tablespoon of honey and half tablespoon of lemon juice. Add all the ingredients and mix to form a paste. Massage the affected part with the mixture in circular motions and wrap the area with plastic sheet for 20 minutes. Later wash off with warm water and repeat this remedy twice in a week to gain substantial relief. This is one of the best home remedies for cellulite.

Add five drops of tangerine oil to a tablespoon of olive oil and mix them well and apply the mixture over affected parts. Do not go out in the Sun while wearing this mixture and let it stay for 30 minutes. Later wash off with lukewarm water and repeat this everyday for few weeks to reduce appearance of cellulite. This too is one of the best home remedies for cellulite. Drink plenty of water during the day and exercise regularly, and try to reduce excess weight to prevent formation of new cellulite.
